Chinese Angelica:
Perennial herb, 0.4 to 1 meter high. The stems are erect, with vertical grooves and glabrous. Two or three times three-out type pinnate compound leaves, leaflets ovoid, lobed or notched. White flowers, multiple umbels, terminal. The oblong double-hanging fruit has broad wings on the side edges and lavender edges. Flowering from June to July, fruiting from July to August.
It is distributed in Gansu, Yunnan, Sichuan, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Hunan, Hubei, Guizhou, and other places in China. It is cultivated everywhere, and the best produced in Min County, Gansu. The root of Angelica can be used as medicine and is one of the most commonly used Chinese medicines.
